D-Rad motorcycles were produced between 1921 and 1933 by the Berlin-Based Deutsche Industriewerke and designed by the engineer Christiansen. The machines were nicknamed “Springboks from Spandau” and constitute the archetype of 1920’s German motorcycle design: sturdy, strong and well-built.

The slender tank shape gives the machine elegant looks, which are enhanced by the sloping engine. The sturdyness of the design is accentuated by the footboards and valanced mudguards.
