John Shimmin MHK, Minister of Transport is urging everyone with views on the proposed Island Speed limits to put their views forward before the closing date for consultation, August 31st.
In a recent poll conducted by Motor Cycle News, 82% of people expressing their views would seriously reconsider whether to come to the Island again for the TT, if an all-Island speed limit was brought in.
Isle of Man Newspapers also carried out a poll, which showed that 80% of the population are against the introduction of an all-Island limit. Despite this, the newspaper group's editors are in favour of the introduction of a limit.
The proposals will be put forward to Tynwald, the Island's Parliament, later this year, before a final decision will be made, but it is thought that the majority of Tynwald members are in favour of an all Island limit.
