Christian Iddon was completely dominant again at the penultimate round at Croft Circuit last weekend. Christian was adamant that after the problems he suffered at Brands a few weeks ago, those problems were well and truly behind him and he shone in style when he hit the North Yorkshire Circuit.

It was a dull, wet and cold day, typical for Yorkshire but nothing was going to hold Christian back and the moment he hit the track on his Husqvarna he was on a mission to ensure he extended his overall Championship lead.

Let loose in his heat he took and early lead and was out to prove that nothing was going to stand in his way. Pulling a large margin from his fellow competitors he started the day as he meant to go on. Saving his energy for the finals it was Irish Champion David Tougher that got the upper hand on Christian in the 650 Semi Final.

This inspired Iddon and he was determined come the 650 Final and he was out to prove a point. As they entered the first corner Husaberg rider Glynn Ormerod high-sided his Supermoto right in the path of Christian, taking abrasive action to miss the bike and rider Iddon managed to pass through safely. As Glynn lay track-side after only one lap completed the race was red flagged while the medics dealt with the injured rider.

Come the re-start Christian got the perfect start and slowly began to pull a lead over his nearest competitors. KTM's Ady Smith was fighting hard to keep the super fast Iddon in his sights but the Hayfield rider was untouchable as he crossed the finish line two seconds from his nearest rival. Husky Sport rider Jay Smith fought a gallant race in the 650 final, due to bike problems in the semi-final Jay started the race at the back of the pack. Mastering his way through the entire field he gained himself a very deserved 5th place.

The win in the 650 Final inspired Christian for the Super Final and put him the right frame of mind to carry on his winning streak. He needed a win in this to ensure his lead in the Overall Championship standings remained out of grasp for second place man, Swiss Supermoto Star, Danni Muller.

It was Ady Smith that got the hole-shot in the Super Final but it wasn't long before Christian hunted him down and reeled him in. Eventually getting the lead Christian began to pull a slight lead, but Ady was determined and kept biting back. Christian got himself comfortable at the front and settled into a routine. Ady Smith, meanwhile, got himself into a fight, with a huge rut in the track. Stopping him dead from 90mph to 0mph in a split second. Uninjured Ady staggered away from the track and his bike leaving Christian to take another win. Unfortunately for Christian it meant that Danni Muller ended the Super Final race in second place. Still with a healthy lead in the Overall Championship standings Christian was happy with the days racing, and only needs to ride safe races at the final round at Lydden Hill.

Commenting Christian said 'It's been another good day for me. I'm still not out of the woods in the overall super final results as Danni can still catch me if it all goes wrong at Lydden. I'm hoping it won't. Everything went well today and I won my heat, plus the 650 Final and the Super Final so I can't complain.'
