Figures just released highlight that BMW Motorrad UK's entire dealer network has outperformed new registration targets for the first financial quarter - a tough objective in a static market. The company's sales figures (1225 new registrations) are up by 34% to the end of March whereas the overall market figure is down by 7%. This performance has helped place BMW as the fourth largest motorcycle brand in the UK.
An upturn in sales of new BMWs has also led to improved availability of used stock, making the time right to re-launch BMW's Approved Used Bikes (AUB) scheme. This programme is designed to offer true benefits to customers who buy into the BMW brand.
Imagine having the choice of purchasing a previously owned motorcycle offering all of the benefits and services associated with a brand new bike, but at a reduced cost. The BMW Approved Used Bikes programme offers precisely that - and so much more.
Every BMW Approved Used Bike is prepared to BMW AUB standards and will have undergone a fully checked service history where possible. A 12 month MOT; 12 months Road Fund Licence; a full tank of fuel and a minimum of 12 months manufacturer's warranty certifies how BMW's AUB programme gives complete piece of mind when buying a used BMW motorcycle. Additionally, the AUB warranty includes BMW's Emergency Service roadside and emergency aid operating 24 hours a day and 365 days a year throughout the UK and Europe.
BMW Motorrad UK's Authorities and Approved Used Bike Manager, Barry Pharoah, said: "The dealer network now has fantastic resources available to customers such as the newly redesigned BMW AUB internet site search facility (www.bmw-dealernet.co.uk) and new and improved links through the Motor Cycle News website (www.motorcyclenews.com). With the AUB scheme, BMW is committed to providing an exceptional service for its customers and delivering the most comprehensive programme available in the motorcycle market today."
All BMW Approved Used bikes are available for testing by prospective customers. For further information about the AUB programme, or to find out the location of their nearest BMW dealership, customers can call 0800 777 155 or visit www.bmw-motorrad.co.uk
