Czech star Petr Vorlicek has his sights set on victory in the final round of the Maxxis Masters Winter Supermoto Series at Lydd on March 5 and 6.
Vorlicek impressed with his speed on the Honda 450cc and 250cc machines
during the second round at Three Sisters.
Now Vorlicek, who raced the rapid Hondas prepared by MW Racing at Three
Sisters, aims to take top honours at Lydd after just missing out on the Super Final win in round two.
Vorlicek dominated the SM2 and SM3 classes at Three Sisters but had to give second best to Bracken KTM's Matt Winstanley in the Super Final.
But the Czech rider believes he can fare better at Lydd where he has
experience of racing in the world championships.
Vorlicek admitted after losing out narrowly in the Super Final at Three
Sisters that he would focus his attention on inflicting a defeat upon Winstanley, and said: "I will see (how I do at Lydd) because I know the track well.
"I rode there in a world championship race so I know the track well and I like it." Vorlicek found the 250 Honda to his liking at Three Sisters.
He said: "The 250 is very good for the off-road sections, there it is very
fast."
After going close to the Super Final win at Three Sisters Vorlicek admitted he had enjoyed the racing.
"I didn't think about beating Matt, it's good for the spectators and
everybody. It's nice when there isn't only one winner."
Vorlicek sees the Winter Series as ideal preparation for the forthcoming
world championships.
"It's quite important because to race is the best preparation for everybody," added Vorlicek.
A star-studded entry at Lydd will also include Winstanley's team-mate Ady Smith, Belgian Fred Fiorentino and his Husaberg team-mates Christian Iddon and Leighton Haigh, Husqvarna's David McKee and Yamaha's Swiss star Dani Muller.
Local interest will centre around Sittingbourne's Rob McNealy.
The action starts at 10am on Saturday, March 5 which sees the qualifying
races and at 10am on Sunday, March 6 when the finals take place.
Entry for spectators costs £5.
