Triple British Superbike Champion John Reynolds will be riding his 2004 Championship winning Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend.

It will be the first time that fans favourite JR will have ridden a Superbike since his retirement last October and he is excited at the prospect of riding up the famous 1.16-mile long Goodwood hill-climb course.

"I'm really looking forward to getting back on a Superbike again," said JR. "I've been riding road bikes since my retirement but to get back on my Championship winning machine is going to be special for me.

"Goodwood Festival of Speed is a brilliant event for motorsport fans of all ages and I am honoured to be attending and riding the hill climb. I don't expect to challenge for the race honours but I am planning to put on an entertaining show for the crowd."

Formula One World Champions Nigel Mansell and Mika Hakkinen will headline the Festival of Speed, which runs from Friday 7th - Sunday 9th July, with gates opening at 0700 at the West Sussex estate. Tickets can be purchased in advance only by calling 01243-755055 or visiting www.goodwood.co.uk.
