Last day of Malaysian test session at Sepang track for the MotoGP riders. Today the ambient temperature reached the 30 and the track temperature was nearly 43 so the LCR Team rider Carlos Checa kept on developing the new RC212V together with the staff managed by Ramon Forcada.

The Spaniard made a total of 72 laps in order to improve the chassis set up and the engine power. Checa was very satisfied about the valuable data he got working step by step with LCR technicians and HRC engineers. Team Manager Lucio Cecchinello, who arrived in Malaysia two days ago eager for he new 800cc project, has been satisfied about this first "tasting" of Carlos Checa on the RC212V.

Checa: "Basically we spent a lot of time looking for better chassis settings trying to establish a better base line to work from in future testing. We played with the castor angle and ride height of the bike looking for a better base line. Traction is good but I found it a little difficult find a good contact feeling from the front, the bike needs to turn faster. The weather didn't help us today I had hoped it would have held off so I could use the last hour of the day but no luck. But Honda know which areas of the bike they have to work on and we have helped to clarify the parts that need improving. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with this team and I has been good to be here and get to know everybody better".
