Kawasaki Racing - 2005

Kawasaki is a brand with strong and deep roots in performance.

At the heart of this engineering and performance image is, of course, competition. Both on and off-road Kawasaki are always striving for success which is reflected in the enthusiasm of owners and franchised dealers alike.

In 2004 Kawasaki Motors UK officially supported teams and riders in all the major UK Championships and shared this commitment to racing with thousands of fans both trackside and viewing on terrestrial and satellite television.

Superbike racing is perhaps the most popular form of two wheel sport in the UK and through support of Hawk Racing, Kawasaki UK have the benefit of one of the most professional and committed teams on a grid which is among the most competitive anywhere in the world.

Supersport and Superstock Racing at the top level was achieved in 2004 through support for MSS Discovery driven forward by the committed team of Nick Morgan and Stuart Simmonds.

Specialist race disciplines, such as the TT and Irish road racing, were also supported and encouraged and resulted, this year, in an historic win for the McAdoo team and its ZX-6RR mounted rider Ryan Farquhar in the 600 production event.

Privateer riders were also supported and encouraged via Kawasaki UK's dedicated racing coordinator supplying motorcycles, factory racing parts and technical advice.

Off-road, Kawasaki has established and maintained a lead over its rivals with its unique "Team Green" club, an ownership and brand package which encompasses all off-road competition and marketing activity.

With free membership for all purchasers of new machines, Team Green is an "aspirational ladder of opportunity". Riders are encouraged to "climb" the ladder and aim for the ultimate goal, an official Kawasaki supported ride. Proof that this approach works is embodied by Stephen Sword and Tom Church; both are World Championship riders, both ride for Kawasaki and both are products of Team Green.
