Moto Morini 9 1/2 - 2005

Moto Morini 9 1/2Moto Morini 9 1/2

The 3 1/2 legend, updated. The Moto Morini 9 1/2 offers more power, more control and more reliability in a road bike that resembles only itself. The engine is the powerful 998cc Bialbero CorsaCorta with 105 Hp at 9000 rpm, proudly displayed through the bike's steel trellis frame. The style is an original mix of classic and contemporary elements including a large, round front headlight, a carefully designed tank with a double aluminium coloured insert, wheels with aluminium channel spokes, spectacular Euro 3 approved left side/under saddle silencer and right side shock absorber fastened to the oval section swingarm.

The Moto Morini 9 1/2 has been specifically created to eat up mile after mile of road with pure pleasure. It offers all today's bikers the joy of great performance and comfortable, easy riding, even with two in the saddle. Without forgetting the pride of unmistakeable character.

The 9 1/2 is a large-displacement road bike equipped with a Bialbero CorsaCorta twincylinder engine in the 998 cc version, which develops 105 HP at 9000 rpm. Designed by Franco Lambertini, the engine is the technological core of the bike and contains major innovative content, which for its class assures excellence in performance. A distinctive trait of the 9 1/2 project is the dualism of performance and accessibility: this bike is the first of a range that weds the classic, "reassuring" style with the performance of a powerful and agile motorcycle characterised by a comfortable setup and 100% Italian componentry. It's a bike we believe will be appreciated for its style and riding comfort -- and that goes for longer distances too -- but that can also pack the emotion of a powerful, reliable twin-cylinder engine.

The 9 1/2 has no fairing; the aesthetics of the vehicle have been entrusted to the exposed mechanical parts and the stylistic decisions made during the design process: the trellis frame of steel tubes in varying thickness integrate perfectly with the swing arm featuring oval-sectioned large-diameter tubes; upside down fork with large-diameter legs; round front headlight; large tank designed to accommodate the most comfortable riding position; a wide, comfortable seat also for the passenger; spoked wheels with a channel in high-quality aluminium; suspension with lateral monoshock absorber; and Euro 3 exhaust system with single lateral silencer under the seat.

A bona fide Italian motorbike, the 9 1/2 avoids extremes but exudes a big personality. It is difficult to place it in a marketing category because it does not fall within the rigid segments of the market. Not designated for a specific user or target, the 9 1/2 conveys its own, original way of interpreting the riding experience. And our bet is that the owner will appreciate it by enhancing the aspects that best conform to his requirements.
