The 1,402 cm3 powerplant – larger than any preceding air-cooled/SACS (Suzuki Advanced Cooling System) 4-cylinder engine – is built for full big-bike riding enjoyment, delivering an exhilarating combination of power, acceleration and smooth response.
The fuel injection system, with SDTV (Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve) design, provides extra-smooth throttle response, even in stop-and-go conditions, and ensures top performance, optimum fuel efficiency and low emissions.
SCEM (Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material)-plated cylinders and high-capacity oil cooler provide efficient heat transfer and help maintain optimum running temperatures.
A counter-balancer system ensures comfortable riding, while a 6-speed gearbox brings about enjoyable cruising at highway speeds.
An auto-idle system makes for easy engine starts.
Multi-adjustable 46 mm-inner-tube cartridge front forks and dual piggyback-reservoir rear shocks together compose a smooth-riding suspension system.
Powerful braking, with front dual 320 mm disc brakes with aluminum 6-piston calipers and rear 260 mm disc brake with a dual-opposed-piston caliper.
Front 120/70ZR17 and rear 190/50ZR17 tyres transmit the massive engine power to the road.
The instruments are housed in aggressive bullet-shaped pods and highgrade
aluminum panel. The speedometer and tachometer both use a stepping motor for quick reading. The LCD twin tripmeter, bar-graph fuel meter and digital clock
