Yamaha BT1100 Bulldog - 2005
For 2005 the BT1100 Bulldog benefits from a number of chassis changes, as well as detail engine modifications which are designed to reduce emission levels to below EU2 standards.
Reshaped seat
The newly designed seat gives the rider more freedom to move forwards and backwards, which allows riders of different sizes to choose the most comfortable position.
New handlebars and handlebar crown
In order to deliver a more roadster-style riding position, the 2005 BT1100 is equipped with new tapered handlebars which are straighter and flatter than the previous design. This modification makes for a more active riding position whilst also ensuring high levels of rider comfort.
Also new is a restyled handlebar crown with a new finish, as well as newly designed handlebar clamps.
New instrument panel
The new instrument panel features a large analogue speedometer with an inset analogue tachometer, and to the right of the main dial is a digital trip meter, with an additional tripmeter and clock.
Immobiliser
For added security the 2005 BT1100 Bulldog comes with an immobiliser fitted as standard equipment.
Lower emissions
A number of modifications have been made to the high torque V-twin engine in accordance with EU2 standards. These include a new fuel cut system which lowers emissions and extends catalyser life, as well as a new engine cooling air duct with an aluminium cover.
