2006 KTM 450 SMR


These bikes are thoroughbred racing Supermotos with specially designed frames, brakes, wheels and chassis. Light weight rockets at both under 110 kg, and with powerful 4-stroke racing engines, they're tailor made for the S1 and S2 Supermoto classes and Ready to Race ex factory.


Smooth shifting hydraulic Magura clutch; thicker clutch plates sup-port clutch heat transfer.


The 450 SMR is fitted with the latest evolution of the 41 KEIHIN FCR-MX flat-slide carburettor; adjustable accelerator pump, hot start button and new air intake.


A stiffer crank shaft for the 450 SMR means better reliability.

Valve Stem Guides;

New sintered steel valve stem guides combined with titanium valve for better durability.


The 48 mm WP-USD forks feature a black friction optimized coat-ing, new bushes for reduced friction and a special Supermoto-tuned setting; individual set up through adjustability of rebound and com-pression damping and spring preload.

Shock Absorber;

The new PDS shock with new oil flow and redesigned bump rubber has an improved setting with more progressive damping curve and stronger spring. The WP PDS shock absorber can also be replaced within seconds.


Specially developed high-performance Supermoto brakes are stand-ard equipment. Manufactured by FTE with "Beringer Technology", the system has a radial pump with elaborate roller bearings and a radially-bolted, four-piston fixed calliper. Together with the 310-mm, floating Braking Wave disc, guarantees optimal braking per-formance.


Soft, slick tyres from Dunlop (120/75-17"and 165/55-17") on broad rims (3.5 and 5.0 x 17").


New graphics for the 2006 chassis, similar to factory bikes, creates a dynamic and much younger appearance.
