Both engines are liquid cooled and feature Aprilia's exclusive four valve heads. Catalysed exhausts ensure ultra-low emissions, and place the SPORTCITY 125-200 well within the latest emission control standards.
Miserly fuel consumption and a generous 9 litre tank give the SPORTCITY 125-200 great autonomy.
The braking system, with two large diameter discs is another strong point on the Sportcity 125-200. The front disk is a 260 mm unit with floating caliper and two parallel pistons. The rear disc is 220 mm in diameter and the caliper is a double opposed piston unit.
The hydraulic fork uses 35 mm stanchions for precision control and excellent comfort over even the roughest road surfaces. The fork has a wheel travel of 100 mm, just the job for tackling city cobblestones, holes and manhole covers.
The engine and transmission assembly also acts as swing arm. Suspension is provided by two rear shock absorbers. Four spring preload settings allow you to adjust your suspension for maximum efficiency under all load and road conditions. Rear wheel travel is 80 mm, more than enough to smooth out even the roughest surfaces.
The Sportcity 125-200 is equipped with 15 inch wheels and large, high profile tubeless tyres (120/70 at the front and 130/80 at the rear). Rolling diameter is therefore equivalent to that of a 16 inch tyre but comfort is far better.
In conjunction with the excellent frame, this intelligent choice of tyres gives the Sportcity 125-200 excellent stability and the sort of intuitive feel that makes it a piece of cake to ride even for novices.

The Sportcity 125-200 also boasts a comfortable, large and flat platform for extra load carrying capacity. The platform narrows intelligently under the rider's legs to allow riders to get both their feet quickly, easily, and firmly on the ground.
The Sportcity 125-200 is great at load carrying thanks to a large under-seat storage compartment that is big enough to hold your helmet and more. Clever use of space has also enabled Aprilia to build a closed, lockable storage compartment into the rear of the leg shield. This contains a practical power socket for charging your mobile phone. A useful carrier hook is also provided at the front.
The practical luggage rack incorporates robust passenger grab handles and can accept a top box to increase carrying capacity.
The sleek, streamlined front shield provides excellent weather protection and two air outlets deliver warm air from the radiator to keep the rider's legs warm in winter when used in conjunction with the optional Aprilia leg cover.
The Sportcity is the first ever urban scooter to adopt analog-digital instruments with a multifunctional display, directly derived from the latest superbikes. Display functions are controlled directly from the handlebars for maximum safety.
