in compression and rebound damping as well as spring
preload. The Sachs rear monoshock is equipped with
a practical hydraulic remote control to adjust spring
preload, which operates through Ducati’s rising

system; two 320mm semi-floating discs at the front
wheel with two 4-piston Brembo calipers, while rear
stopping power is provided by an single 245mm disc
with a Brembo 2-piston caliper.
The Multistrada is equipped with the renowned Desmodue
air-cooled twin-cylinder engine. For this model the
Ducati 1100 Dual Spark has a displacement of 1078cc
which offers exceptional torque and excellent reliability.
This engine offers a power output of 95hp at 7750rpm
and 10,5kgm (76lb-ft) of torque at 4750rpm. Contributing
to the bike’s rideability and powerful mid-range,
this modern air-cooled engine highlights the sporting
character of the Multistrada 1100.
The engine has been designed to comply to Euro 3 standards
while boosting performance.
