Like almost no other model, the 450 EXC presents itself as a direct series offshoot from the winning E2 factory machines ridden under the leadership of Fabio Farioli. This powerful four-stroke will go to
the starting line with a number of modifications in 2009. True to the motto “Evolution, Instead of Revolution”, the rideability was increased through the reduction of the moving engine masses and a new ignition
curve. The 449.3 cc powerhouse can be started effortlessly even at low temperatures, thanks to an optimized decompressor system and the aid of a new carburettor setting. The clutch has been fitted with additional lubrication bores and a new set of multi-discs, for less wear plus better braking performance. The new set-ups for the high-class WP suspension components ultimately allow the confident power of the ultra-modern drivetrain to be utilized even more effectively.
