KTM Motorsports

What environment could be better suited to thoroughly testing an engine and a chassis than the race track or offroad terrain. Which test laboratory could be better equipped to drive forward advanced developments? And how better could you demonstrate engineers' expertise? Passion, fascination and a desire for continual improvement drive KTM and all its employees. It's only logical that a company like this has been dedicated to racing ever since it was founded. KTM has always been and will always be 'Ready to Race'.

It all began in the 1950s when Paul Schwarz and Erich Trunkenpolz, son of KTM founder Hans Trunkenpolz, roared their way to victory and second place on 125cc KTMs in the International Rupert
Hollaus Memorial Race. The Mattighofen team was involved in motorsport long before it entered the world of offroading.

Today, more than half a century after this first triumph, KTM can be proud of its more than 165 world championship titles as well as seven consecutive KTM victories at the legendary Dakar Rally. It's no
surprise that motorcycle fans regard the name KTM as synonymous with motorsport on two wheels.

A plethora of enthusiastic employees support KTM's commitment to racing and enable the company to design and manufacture the best motorcycles for its customers – ready to race of course!
