2011 Yamaha Motorcycles

Once again in 2011 – on the street, on the highway, on the racetrack – Yamaha proves itself a force to be reckoned with in the world of motorcycling. Offering enthusiasts, beginners and commuters one of the widest and most exciting ranges of innovative models available – from 1900cc through to 50cc – Yamaha demonstrates that it is one of the most forward-thinking and dynamic brands in the marketplace today.

Last season – whether competing in MotoGP, WSB or MXGP – Yamaha factory riders set racetracks across the world alight, delighting fans with passionate performances as well as results. And it’s the remarkable success of our race bikes – the superiority of their engine and chassis designs – that underlies every Yamaha motorcycle.

Range highlights

For 2011, Yamaha introduces the Unified Brake System to iconic Cruiser models, the XVS1300A Midnight Star and XV1900A Midnight Star. This system supports braking by applying front and rear braking force to both wheels when the rider operates the rear brake pedal.

2011 also sees the introduction of a black edition of the XT1200Z Super Ténéré alongside a new ABS version of the XT660Z Ténéré. All Super Ténéré models will now be sold in standard versions only, but riders will still be able to modify their Ténéré with side cases, skid plates, headlight protectors and other genuine accessories.

Yamaha also presents an updated version of the WR125X. This features a significantly lower seat –and incorporating softer seat foam – a new front fork, rear shock absorber, and revised side stand.

New colours and graphics for 2011
