Triumph launches the next generation
of Steve McQueen riding and casualwear
The Autumn/Winter ‘11 season
sees the release of the next generation of Triumph
Steve McQueen products with the introduction of a
new performance jacket and a range of casualwear.
Inspired by the movie star’s
love of racing, the Steve McQueen Special Edition
Jacket #2 combines a heritage race styling with modern
day motorcycle riding technologies.
The jacket is constructed from a Bristex
outer fabric that has been given a heavy wash for
a worn effect. A vertical red, white and blue stripe
detail is added to the jacket along with a tonal Steve
McQueen signature to the upper sleeve. Inside the
jacket is a Tri-Tex waterproof membrane and removable
thermal lining. The lining also features a special
print of Steve McQueen. Removable CE protectors are
included to the shoulder and elbow.
The casualwear range draws inspiration
from two motorcycle races that he pushed himself and
his Triumph to the limits. The ISDT Hoodie and T-Shirt
are influenced by his appearance at the International
Six Days Trial, East Germany, 1964. The 100% cotton
single jersey t-shirt and cotton-polyester hoodie
features logo and patch detailing with an enzyme wash
to pay homage to his most famous motorcycle race.
The 955 Race T-Shirt and Race Zip Thru
are influenced by his participation in the 1962 Four
Aces Moose Run, a national championship in Adelanto,
California, where he achieved third place in the novice
division. Both the long sleeve t-shirt and zip thru
features a bold back print and logo detailing.
