1924 Beardmore Precision Model C 598cc
The Beardmore Precision embodied some original
ideas. The fuel tank is an integral part of
the frame structure. In pre-war days F E Baker
Ltd has specialised in supplying proprietary
engines to other motorcycle manufacturers but
in 1919 Baker obtained substantial backing from
shipbuilders William Beardmore. After financial
collapse in 1925, the factory was taken over
by its present occupants. Triplex Safety Glass
and Frank Baker started again, making small
Villiers-engined Baker two-strokes.
