In 2003, between Ruban Xaus and Neil Hodgson. they won 20 out of 24 WSB races, the remainder were all won by Ducati. The lack of top-level rivals, plus other factors, meant that the 999 F03 is the fastest and best Ducati V-twin ever, it's not as good as it could be, Ducati didn't maximise the potential of the new 999 chassis, simply because they didn't need to.
