New Night Rod Strengthens VRSC Family;
Brembo Brakes, More Options for All VRSC Performance Motorcycles
Harley-Davidson takes its VRSC platform in new
directions for 2006 with the introduction of the new VRSCD Night Rod, a raw street
cruiser, powered by the liquid-cooled Revolution V-Twin engine.
The Harley-Davidson VRSC family combines ground-breaking custom styling with
performance driven by technology. VRSC is the latest branch on the Harley-Davidson
family tree. Distinctive for its liquid-cooled, 60-degree Revolution V-Twin engine and
hydroformed perimeter frame, the VRSC line is fueled by the competitive spirit that
propelled the Vance & Hines/Screamin' Eagle V-Rod to the 2004 NHRA Pro Stock Bike
Drag Racing Championship.
For 2006, all VRSC models are equipped with new, high-performance Brembo brakes -
dual 300mm rotors on the front wheel with four-piston calipers, and a single 300mm rotor
on the rear wheel, also with a four-piston caliper. A new instrument display incorporates a
clock and second tripmeter, and all VRSC models have a new side stand with an easy-toreach
foot tab.
