Earles forks - An unusual
front fork design. A long leading link and
rigid pivot through both links behind the
wheel.
Easy rider - The famous
motorcycle movie, released in 1969, starring
Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, and Jack Nicholson.
ECU (Electronic Control
Unit) - A computer which controls (for instance)
an igniton system, or an anti-lock braking
system.
EFI (Electronic Fuel Ignition)
- A means of metering fuel into an internal
combustion engine. EFI replaces carburettor
as a fuel metering device.
EGO - Exhaust Gas Oxygen
sensor. Sometimes called a Lambda sensor.
EMS (Engine Management System)
- A computer controlled system which manages
the fuel injection and the ignition system
in an integrated fashion.
Endo - see stoppie.
Enduro - Off-road competition.
Ergonomics - Study of body
posture and instrument positioning.
Expansion chamber - Section
of two-stroke engine exhaust system so designed
to improve engine efficiency and boost power.
