    As the summer season of outdoor motorcycling events draws to a close, the Ace Café has just enough time to slot in its 13th annual Reunion event. The 2006 Ace Café Reunion will take place from Friday 8 until Sunday 10 September in two locations - the Ace Café in London and Brighton's Madeira Drive. BMW Motorrad will be present at the Sunday celebrations in Brighton for the first ever UK public display of the new R1200 R. Read more.....

    Troy Bayliss has brought an end to all speculation about his racing future by re-signing for the Ducati Xerox Team. The Australian will now lead Ducati's attack on the World Superbike Championship throughout the 2007 and 2008 seasons. Read more.....

    It will be, without a single doubt, a special race for the Winston Ten Kate Honda Team this weekend. With the latest SBK weekend being held in Assen, Holland, it can be considered a home race in all respects for the Team, under the management of Ronald Ten Kate. During this forthcoming weekend we will see an SBK race on the modified circuit for the first time, on a track with reduced length and, in part, a modified philosophy in the approach to a track which has ever been considered the temple of the racing motorcycle.     19-year-old Pete Spalding carried on his winning form this weekend at Cadwell Park, Monday 28th August. The youngster who tied up the British Supersport Cup Championship at Croft took his tenth win from ten races at the technical Lincolnshire Circuit. Read more.....

    Airwaves Ducati achieved a perfect result at round 11 of the British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park, finishing first and second in both races. Gregorio Lavilla won the first race and Leon Haslam took the second leaving the Airwaves Ducati riders first and second in the Championship standings. Read more.....

    Capirossi, who has raced the Desmosedici machine since 2003, the year Ducati made its debut in the MotoGP championship, has played an important role in the development and the growth of the project.     Airwaves Ducati finished first and second in a perfect qualifying session at Cadwell Park today. Leon Haslam, who has started from the front row of every race so far this season, set the quickest ever lap of Cadwell Park, 1:26.392, to get pole position.     Airwaves Ducati's Leon Haslam started his bank holiday weekend off in style by finishing first in both free practice sessions at Cadwell Park today. His team mate Gregorio Lavilla came 6th and 7th at the challenging Lincolnshire circuit. Read more.....

    BMW Motorrad's new R1200 R is finally making its UK debut in dealer showrooms on 16 September. The new roadster received rave reviews from journalists who attended the international press launch early in July and now fans of BMW's all-new naked boxer twin will be able to see it in the metal for the first time.     The Camel Yamaha Team concluded two days of testing in the Czech Republic this afternoon, following on immediately from Sunday's Czech Grand Prix, in which Valentino Rossi finished second. Testing alongside most other MotoGP teams in the paddock, Rossi and team-mate Colin Edwards completed two full days of work despite some bad weather today, looking to maximise the potential of the YZR-M1 before the forthcoming run of 'flyaway' races in Malaysia, Australia and Japan.     Parts Unlimited Ducati's Neil Hodgson and Ben Bostrom faced a challenging day at Virginia International Raceway on Sunday, with Hodgson crashing while charging to the front and Ben Bostrom finishing in the top six on his Ducati 999 once again after a tough race-long battle for position.     Valentino Rossi picked up 20 vital points in the Czech Republic today after taking second place in a race which saw series leader Nicky Hayden (Honda) stumble to ninth - a result which reduces the gap between the pair to 38 points with five rounds remaining. Loris Capirossi (Ducati) took a dominant victory, leading from the first corner to finish with a 4.902 second advantage, whilst Rossi had to fend off a valiant challenge from rookie Dani Pedrosa (Honda) four laps from the end before comfortably sealing the runner-up spot.     Valentino Rossi will start a MotoGP race from the front of the grid for only the second time this season in tomorrow's Czech Republic Grand Prix after clocking an incredible pole record time in today's single qualifying session at Brno. Read more.....

    Valentino Rossi got back to dominant form today as the MotoGP World Championship returned to action in the Czech Republic following a brief summer break. The Italian was able to bounce back from his Laguna Seca disappointment with a series of fast laps at the Brno circuit after quickly finding a good base set-up for his YZR-M1 machine. After lapping second quickest in the morning practice, just 0.047 seconds behind series leader Nicky Hayden (Honda), Rossi ended the day on top of the time sheets after improving by almost two seconds in the afternoon - with only Randy De Puniet (Kawasaki) able to lap within 0.5 seconds of his best effort.     The Camel Yamaha team return from a three-week holiday next weekend to tackle the first of a final spell of six races that will determine whether reigning MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi can turn around his fortunes and make a sixth consecutive defence of the title he has held since 2001. The Czech Republic Grand Prix takes place at the legendary circuit of Brno, located just over 200 kilometres south-east of the capital city of Prague, where last year Rossi took victory and the lap record as he edged towards his fifth straight title.     21-year-old Brendan Roberts secured the National Superstock Championship this weekend with three rounds of the series still remaining. Taking Pole Position, setting the fastest lap and also the race win, Roberts certainly sealed the title in true style. The young Australian dominated all weekend at the 2.12-mile Croft Circuit. Varied weather conditions throughout the weekend proved challenging for him but this did not deter him from topping the time sheets in every session. Read more.....

    19-year-old Pete Spalding sealed the Supersport Cup Championship this weekend at Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire after taking his ninth Cup win of the season from nine races plus an outstanding fourth position overall in the Supersport Championship.     Leon Haslam got his first win of the 2006 season at Croft today. In a sensational race two which saw him take the lead on the final lap having closed down a 9 second gap and close the championship title race to only 3 points.     Both Airwaves Ducati 999F06's will start on the front row of the grid in round 10 of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship tomorrow. Leon Haslam led for much of qualifying before the lead was taken from him in the closing minutes resulting in 2nd place. His team mate Gregorio Lavilla challenged hard throughout qualifying eventually finishing 4th giving him the final front row spot. Read more.....

    After a three week break the Airwaves Ducati team will return to racing this weekend for round 10 of the British Superbike Championship at Croft.     The Sunday race of the Mid-Ohio Superbike doubleheader saw both Parts Unlimited Ducati teammates compete for positions inside the top five, with Neil Hodgson taking fifth place on his Ducati 999.     Troy Bayliss (Ducati Xerox) notched up Ducati's 250th victory in the World Superbike Championship in race 1 at Brands Hatch today as he powered his 999F06 to a ninth win of the season. The 37-year-old Australian, running Superman ReturnsTM graphic designs on his bike, leathers and helmet, held off the attacks of Noriyuki Haga (Yamaha) and then James Toseland (Honda) before pulling out a slight lead to win.     Kenan Sofuoglu (Winston Ten Kate Honda CBR600RR) scored his third podium of the season after a tough 23-lap race around the classic Brands Hatch circuit, finishing just over two seconds from the race winner. Sebastien Charpentier (Winston Ten Kate Honda CBR600RR) looked set for a podium until his physical condition forced him to slow at half race distance, and he eventually had to settle for sixth place, not fourth, after being overtaken by two riders on the final lap.     Troy Bayliss (Ducati Xerox) took the tenth pole position of his World Superbike career with a blistering lap of 1m25.449s at Brands Hatch, which becomes the Kent circuit's outright lap record. The Australian, who leads the championship by 73 points, will line up at the front of the grid for tomorrow's two races ahead of Noriyuki Haga (Yamaha) and the Honda Ten Kate duo of Karl Muggeridge and James Toseland. Italian team-mate Lorenzo Lanzi set his quickest time over the weekend in the one-lap dash and will start from the third row of the grid in eleventh position. Read more.....

    Troy Bayliss (Ducati Xerox) notched up the quickest time in the opening qualifying session for round 8 of the World Superbike Championship, powering his Ducati 999F06 around the 3.703 mile Brands Hatch circuit in 1m26.272s. His team-mate Lorenzo Lanzi was provisional tenth quickest, but with just one second separating the top 10 in the opening session, the Italian is in a good position to make progress tomorrow.     Sunday August 6 is the date of the eighth round of the Superbike World Championship, to be held on the classic English circuit of Brands Hatch - a special race weekend for the whole Winston Ten Kate Honda team. In fact, it's the second home track of the year for James Toseland, who will race in front of thousands of his countrymen, with his immediate focus falling on nothing less than being able to fight for the race wins. But Winston Ten Kate rider James doesn't only have a single race meeting in mind; he also wants to keep his chance to fight for the title alive. James sits in third position right now, by the narrowest of margins. It will be also an important race for Karl Muggeridge, who is now totally fit to race after his accident at Valencia, with his immediate objective being podium finishes at Brands Hatch.
